Bio

I am a writer and creator of pretty objects. I make jewelry and use a lot of macrame skills to do so. I've made a lot of bracelets for nonprofits, and I love working alongside them. My next goal is to create bracelets featuring a small, hand-stamped metal charm with a semicolon on it for suicide awareness. The bracelets will be knotted in a style like friendship bracelets but will be made from much higher quality materials (similar to the popular brand with initials "PV" but without plastic). The cord used will be waterproof and fade-resistant, and the bracelets will be adjustable to fit every wrist. I'm super-excited about this project and it hits close to home. I'm the survivor of multiple suicide attempts. I try not to forget how bad depression has been for me without getting completely pulled under by it. I was diagnosed with depression at 12. Now, around 30 years later, I'm still trying to beat it. Every single day is a struggle, but some are worse than others. I also have several newer physical disabilities, and it can be extremely difficult to stay on task if I can even get started at all. I'm trying, but it's hard. My loving husband and our cats keep me grounded and happy.
