What happens when a DayOne user dies?

I use DayOne to keep a journal/diary and am currently creating my ‘Digital Will’ that details my social media accounts and specifies how I would like my executors to deal with them. For example, Facebook has a well established ‘Memorialisation’ process. Could DayOne also develop a process (and support page) that would enable executors (in my case my children) to either access my journals or (more likely) ask that the account be deleted?

My Apple ID used to authenticate with DayOne will clearly be unavailable to them, but I have kept a record of my DayOne ID number. I guess the account will be deleted in any case once the subscription fee lapses, but given the private nature of journals I think a more active deletion process is a good idea.

PS I’m not planning on dying any time soon, but the whole topic of ‘digital legacies’ is one that will challenge our children at a very difficult time. Its bad enough trying to sort out the ‘easy stuff’ like investments and HP contracts…
