Sort Tags alphabetically

  Tags, it seems can be sorted only by how many times they have been used. Please add the ability to toggle to alphabetically as well. Thank you.

  I did post this in the general category, so that one can be deleted. I figured it belongs more in the feature request folder.

  If you can already do this, please let me know. (I do know that you can search for a tag with the search line entry, but in some instances, alphabetical list order would be more helpful. Thanks.

  Please add my +1 to the list for sorting lists alphabetically. It really bothers my OCD 😹 and I use a verbal search, especially for tags, so having the most frequently used at the top of the list isn’t really helpful. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think alphabetical sorting might be really helpful for addresses also.

  P.S. I also like justified text. 😉

  This is already an option on the Mac. When opening the Tags section in the filter menu, where it says “All Tags”, you can either click on the left arrow above the tag name to sort alphabetically, or you can click the right arrow above the number to sort by number of times used.
  
  On the iPhone app it seems to sort by number of times used only.
  I do however think you used to be able to sort alphabetically on the phone as well, but no longer.

  Thanks for the feature request, and thanks to @primalisten for the helpful note about the Mac behavior.

  Confirming what’s there today:

  • Mac: The tag filter has the sort toggle you described – arrows above the tag name (alphabetical) and above the count (by usage).
  • iPhone / iPad: Tags in the filter list sort by usage count only. There’s no toggle.

  I dug into our iOS app history on this and the iPhone tag filter list has sorted by usage since that filter was first added, so the alphabetical option doesn’t appear to be something that was removed – it just hasn’t been offered on iOS.

  I’ve passed the request along to the team so they can consider adding the same sort toggle to iOS. In the meantime, on iPhone you can still jump to a specific tag using the search box at the top of the tag list.
