  This method of spelling and entering words is available in other Apple apps, but I can’t find it in Day One…

  Additional commentary: In the iPad Settings window I have turned on ‘Slide on floating keyboard to type,’ but it doesn’t activate it. Does that mean that it is not available… say it ain’t so!

  Day One, this could be a show-stopper! Please fix this.

  Thanks for reaching out. Slide to Type is working for me on both the iOS app and iPad app. Are you able to attach a screen recording here of what you’re seeing?
