‘Search by date’ has disappeared
-
The ability to search by date has disappeared. In any journal, or viewing all entries, if I click the search button, there is no date option.
There is an option to filter by year, but not by date. Knowing the year still means I might have to scroll through hundreds of entries. Which is a royal nuisance.
Has this loss of a valuable feature happened by accident? Have I overlooked something – is the date search hidden elsewhere? (If so, where??? )
Any ideas/help gratefully received…

The specific date filter in search was accidentally left out when the search interface was recently updated on iOS, which is why you are only seeing a year filter right now.
The good news is that the engineering team has already fixed this, and the date filter will be back in an upcoming app update. We do not have a confirmed release date just yet, but it is on its way.
In the meantime, if you need to get to entries from a particular date, you can use the calendar view from the main timeline to navigate directly to that day as an alternative.
