  Thanks for your report. We’re aware of this and have made a change to restore it.

  Can you please try force-closing the app and reopening it again?

  Please make sure that you don’t have any unsynced entries before doing so.

  Search isn’t showing in my iOS app anymore. I journal daily and use it for ideas and documentation, so the search function is essential. I couldn’t find medical information to tell a doctor yesterday!

  Search isn’t showing in my iOS app anymore.

  @lsytsmaba0063637f We identified the issue that apparently affects users on iOS 18:
  https://dayoneapp.com/guides/troubleshooting/known-issues/#h-search-icon-missing-on-ios

  As a workaround, one possible solution at the moment is to upgrade to iOS 26, if you can.

  If that’s not an option for you, we have a fix in place for this issue, which will be included in the 2026.9 release.

  Keep an eye out for that update, and let us know if you still have trouble with it after updating.
