  this is the error message I get when trying to log into my phone. My user name and password work on my laptop but the exact same on my android phone produces this error message. Any help is appreciated

  I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble signing in on Android. Let’s narrow this down.

  A couple of things to check:

  1. Use your email address, not your username. Day One’s Android sign-in screen asks for your email address. If you’re entering your Day One username (display name) instead, you’ll see that exact “Account not found” error.
  2. Check which sign-in method you used on the web. Visit dayone.me and look at the sign-in screen. If you signed in using “Continue with Google” rather than email + password, you’ll need to tap “Continue with Google” on your Android app as well, since the accounts are separate.
  3. Reset your password if needed. If neither of the above applies, go to dayone.me, click “Sign In,” enter your email, and tap “Forgot password?” to receive a reset link.
