Photos not ‘drag and dropping’ from Photo App to Day One page (Mac OS 14.6)

On my MacBook Air, I used to be able to have the Photos App open and also the Day One App open and I could drag and drop photos from Photos to a Day One Diary Page.
Recently it looks like it is carrying out the process, but the photo does not appear on the diary page.
I have checked the Trackpad and Mouse prefs for dragging and all is in order. I can use the paperclip icon to ‘Add media from today’ – but that only allows one picture at a time, which is frustrating when there are a lot of photos.
Grateful to anyone who has an answer to this, or is it a glitch in the current Day One App on OSX (2024.16 – 1575)? -

It looks like the team is aware of this and should have a fix for it in a future release. They’re aiming for the 2024.17 release.
If you continue to see this issue after that update comes out, please let us know. -
Hi,
Yes I noticed the same kind of problem on my Mac, but I’m also now unable to drag and drop a single or multiple pages from a pdf in Preview into a Day One entry. A status “Waiting For Media to Download” correctly occurs briefly, but then it disappears and the file doesn’t come across and appear in the Day One entry.
I did just log this a separate problem, but thought I’d mention it here too since I saw this entry.

I’m also having this issue. I used to be able to drag and drop pics from Apple Photos directly into DayOne. Now, it appears to allow this to happen, but no photos appear in DayOne after I’ve dragged and drop. A solution to this problem would be much appreciated.

I’ve been unable to drag and drop photos since end of May. The error message from my Mac photos app is:
“Photo Exported with Lower Image Quality – Export to disk to maintain full image quality”
Any idea when this will be resolved?
