MCP for windows?

  I have used Dayone for a long time but I need integration with AI through MCP. The fact that it’s only available for the mac is pretty behind the ball. Is Dayone considering this or no? If so, then I will wait around, if not I will have to leave the platform. Honestly, there is some argument as to why an Ejournal is important when we have all the backend tools available. Really it is for convenience, but if it’s this slow to keep up then I may just develop my own personal platform.

  Hi @acoke4u – We don’t have plans to port the existing MCP server to Windows, but we are in the process of releasing a new CLI tool, which is available on all platforms.

  It’s not 100% ready yet, but you can try it out here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@dayone/cli

  The new Day One CLI runs on Windows and ships agent skills designed for LLM-integration – your LLM of choice on Windows can drive it directly.
