Markdown not working in Day One on macOS Tahoe

Pasting of markdown from Grok into Day One is not working in macOS Tahoe.

The markdown characters are there, but they are not processing as markdown in Day One. This is new as of about a week ago, maybe March 18 or 20 or so.

When was the last time you updated your macOS installation of Day One? Was it in that time span?

If you manually type into Day One one or a couple of the lines from the copied text, does the markdown work as expected? What kind of markdown formatting is here? Paragraph formatting (affecting entire sentences, such as Code Block) or text formatting (e.g., words embedded within sentences, like Bold or Italic)?

If you copy from Grok and then paste as text into Day One (⌥⇧⌘V), does the markdown work?

If you do that copy from Grok and paste it into an app that can display hidden/non-visible characters (such as Microsoft Word), do you see any unexpected hidden characters (especially at the beginning of lines)?

Right after pasting into Day One, where is the blinking insertion point? Is it at the end of the last line of the pasted text? Or is it at the beginning of the line immediately after the last line of pasted text?

I checked on the Day One version and it was updated around the time the markdown quit working. Tahoe was up to date.

The markdown is now working as of today 3/27/2026. I don’t know why, what, who, etc., but it works.

    Thank you!
