Life-time purchase/premium
-
Also would hope to have the option to buy a Lifetime License. Everywhere just Subscriptions which add UPP more and more so that I need to cancel services.
It would be fine to buy the current Version for unlimited time, and also buy again Feature Updates. Just like in the past, where you bought an App and could decide if you wanted to upgrade.

Still waiting for that one time purchase. As long as there’s no lifetime Premium offer, I will not consider using this or any other app, not even the free version. This would be the chance for the app to stand out. No-one likes subscription.

@rebelexactlya4cc2a080e Thanks for your feedback. I’ve added it to the open feature request for the team to consider.

@sparkly7dfcba6869 thank you for sharing your thoughts! I’ve added your vote to the feature request!

Lifetime subscription should be a standard option – but unfortunately they think more about money in the long run and therefore it’s always about Monthly or yearly subscription – sad sad…. greed is a normal thing these days..
-
@infinityjane2015 A subscription model is necessary to maintain Day One’s sustainability and viability in the long run.

many companies offer both yearly , monthly subscription and lifetime so I think is doable to have them all as many developers offers

I also like to add another request for lifetime subscription, many apps offer both option, thats better for the customer base, especially when many other Journal Apps have come to the market, like Apple’s own one.
Day One is an amazingly good App, and would like to support it for more years like i have until now.
Lifetime subscription it’s a Standard Option in Apps.

Another request for lifetime subscription! It just makes sense! This is one of the best journaling apps I’ve ever used, and def prefer one-time purchases over subscriptions since I already have several, plus there seems to be a significant amount of requests for lifetime here. Also I agree with it being more economical as well.

One more request for lifetime.
I like to plan ahead of time and I’m kind of tired of subscriptions in general, every single thing needs to be recurring. I’d buy a license for this app, but this subscription thing keeps me away from it.
