Journal list empty
-
Since updating to the latest version of Day One, my list of journals is empty/blank.
Everything was fine initially and I was able to make a folder to group some journals together. The next day however, I notice there was nothing showing except the folder & the trash.
All of the entries themselves are still there, and display if I click on the folder I made.
This is happening on the MacOS, iOS, & iPadOS versions of the app, though the journal list seems to be populated on the web version.
I’m running the latest (non-beta) versions of all the above. -

Same issue, cannot switch to “all entries” in my macOS. As always, another buggy update. Please FIX IT NOW.

Me too. Why is there such a bug? In the future, please consider releasing a test version first before the official release.

Thanks everyone for your report.
We have reported this issue, and our team is currently looking into it.
We’ll follow up when we have an update to share.

Sooner rather than later I hope. It’s making the app -particularly on macOS, very difficult to use and does feel like something that should’ve been picked up in testing before it was released.

Following up on this: we’ve confirmed the cause and want to emphasize that no data has been lost. Your journals and entries are intact on our servers, which is why everything still appears correctly at dayone.me.
While we work on the fix, we can switch off Journal Collections on individual accounts, which restores the full journal list right away. If you’d like us to do that for yours, please reach out at https://dayone.me/support with your Day One account email.
Note that switching it off also hides any Collections you’d created.
@marcbramhill79 @k9ii5j673n @f4yzh685jx @haoshuaimy we’re going to reach out to you through the email you used for your account on this Forum, which may or may not be the same as your Day One account email.
Please keep a lookout for any emails from our support team in your inbox.
@cadazan Thanks for reaching out. We’ll continue to help you via your email.
Thank you all for your patience. We’ll update here when the fix ships.
