Issue with blank lines being removed from journal entries after syncing

I want to add blank lines in my journal entries to separate paragraphs, but I’ve run into a problem. In the Windows app, I press Enter between two lines to insert a blank line, and then sync the journal immediately. The blank line is displayed correctly in the Windows app.

However, when I open the same journal entry on Android, the blank line is immediately removed. After that, if I go back to the Windows app and open the entry again, the blank line I previously added is gone there as well.

Do the Windows and Android apps handle blank lines differently? Or am I adding blank lines incorrectly? What is the proper way to insert blank lines in Day One?

It seems that this issue may also affect older journal entries, or perhaps it has already existed for quite a long time.
I randomly checked journal entries from January to December 2025 and found that the blank lines had disappeared from many of them, while some entries still retained their blank lines.
If I have to manually restore all the missing blank lines in an entire year’s worth of journal entries, it would be an absolutely nightmarish amount of work.
