How to set the cover image in the monthly calendar view?
-
It used to be that the cover image was by default the first image inserted in the newest entry of the day, but after the update, it seems that’s no longer the case, and my previous layouts are all messed up. Also, when adding music, all these links are now additionally displayed (they weren’t there before).
Can a feature be added to set a cover image for the monthly calendar view?

If my tone came across poorly, I apologize — I’m using translation software. I really appreciate the work the developers have put into the app.

No need to apologize at all – your message came across perfectly clearly, and we really appreciate the kind words about the team!
It sounds like you’re referring to the Journal Cover Image feature. The automatic cover image behavior you described – where Day One would default to the first image from the newest entry – was part of this feature while it was in development. As noted in the docs, it’s an experimental feature that may change, and it looks like the automatic selection was one of the things that changed in a recent update.
On the music links also appearing unexpectedly – could you describe a bit more where you’re seeing them?
Could you also let us know which platform you’re using (iOS, Android, macOS, or the web app) and your app version? That will help the team trace what changed.
