DayOne never finishes updating

  whenever DayOne updates it never finishes updating. The icon just says Loading… and every time this happens I have to reinstall it.

  Apple manages the downloads and updates from the App Store. We’ve had a few users report this to us, and other developers have also seen this and reported it to Apple. 
   
  We hope they will resolve this soon.
