Date displayed twice on journal entries in Day One app on macOS 26 Tahoe

    Hi Day One team,

I’m experiencing a UI bug where the date and time stamp is displayed twice at the top of every journal entry.

    Environment:

    • App: Day One (latest version)

    OS: macOS 26 Tahoe
    Device: Mac

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Open Day One on macOS 26 Tahoe

    Open any journal entry

    Expected Behavior:

The date/time stamp (e.g., “Sun, Feb 8, 2026 at 10:45 AM PST”) should appear once at the top of the entry.

    Actual Behavior:

The date/time stamp is rendered twice, stacked on top of each other, above the entry title. Both lines show identical information (see attached screenshot).

    Additional Notes:

    • This occurs on all entries, not just a specific one.

This may be a compatibility issue with the new macOS 26 Tahoe window chrome or title bar rendering — possibly a duplicate view being layered in the entry header area.

    Screenshot attached for reference.

    Thanks for looking into this!

I have the exact same issue on Sequoia 15.7.3 on Firefox.

  • The duplicated date header issue you’re seeing was a known bug in version 2026.3 of Day One for macOS.

The good news is that this has already been fixed in Day One Mac version 2026.3.2. Please update to the latest version, and the duplicate date/time stamp should disappear.
