Cannot copy and paste images from Firefox browser into Journal entry

  About a month or 2 ago, I noticed that coping and pasting images from Web pages into a Journal entry no longer worked. I can see the image in my clipboard manager. I can paste it into an Apple Note, but when I paste it into the journal , instead of the image I get a blue square with a question mark inside of it.

  The procedure is

  Open page

  Right click on image and select “copy image”

  Verify image is in the clipboard by looking at my clipboard manager.

  Pasting the image in the journal.

  This used to work before July 2026.

  I’m running macOS 26 , Day One version 2026.17 (1777), User id 38408.

  I’ve noticed this as well.
  
  If I undo the first paste and then paste again it works. Weird
