Since yesterday evening UK time, I have been unable to access Day One, the app appeared to be taking and update but froze with about 1/4 to go. It had “waiting” for a while but is now greyed out. I turned phone off and on, I went to access via App Store but Open was there but did nothing. I am apprehensive of deleting and reinstalling the app as my whole head is in there and I don’t want to loose it. Any known issues?

Thanks for reaching out. What you’re experiencing is actually a known issue with the iOS App Store – sometimes updates get stuck during download. This is on Apple’s side rather than a Day One issue.
About your data: If you have a Day One account and sync enabled, your entries are safely backed up on our servers. You can verify this by logging in at https://dayone.me from any web browser – check that your entries appear there. If they do, your data is safe even if you need to delete and reinstall the app later.
