Yet another web version bug: long words don’t move to new text line
-
Another web version bug apart from still unresolved https://forums.dayoneapp.com/forums/topic/web-windows-app-lagging-heavily-during-edits-anyone-else-seeing-this/
If you type a very long word on a web (Version: 2025.15.2), this word doesn’t automatically continue in the next line when reaching the end of the window, but continues to be in one line – hence breaking the window and going outside the place this text should be.
For some reason I can’t add photos here, but you can instantly see if you just press and hold a single button in web version. On Mac – nothing like that happens and it’s automatically switches to a new line.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my end, but long words are wrapping to the next line as expected. Could you please share a screenshot so we can take a closer look?
Also, let us know what browser and operating system you’re using—that’ll help us narrow things down.

Thats the screenshot – https://imgur.com/a/nK9neh1, there is “abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz” in the title, and a lot of copy-pasted “abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz” in the first line, and another long line of random text on the 2nd line, both are not being wrapped
Version is now 2025.17.2, Firefox 141.0.3 (64-bit) on Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Hi @dpolovinkin
Thank you for sharing the web browser and operating system. I was able to replicate the issue on my end using the same settings. However, it appears to be an issue only with Firefox, as I tested it on Chrome and saw a line break. Could you help me test on Chrome as well and let me know if you see the line break?
In the meantime, I will share this issue with our development team.

@dpolovinkin This issue has now been fixed. Please let us know if you’re still having trouble with it. Thanks for the report!
