Wizard promted: “You’ve Connected….” – What is the meaning?

Today when creating a new entry using the wizard, I was given the option to add an event titled “You’ve Connected” which had an avatar of friend of mine displayed. Was just wondering where and why DayOne prompted that? A phone call I made earlier in the day to him? A text? Or is he a fellow DayOne user?

The “You’ve Connected” event you encountered in Day One is likely related to the integration with your device’s calendar. Day One can access your calendar events and contacts to help you create more meaningful journal entries by suggesting relevant events and interactions. If you have allowed Day One to access your calendar, it might be pulling events from there.
