Widgets not working

I have used the app for around 15 yrs and love the app. Recently, the widget with shows my past events mostly has stopped working. It just shows a blue background instead of my previous entries.
Is there something I’m doing wrong or is there a way to reset the widgets and get it working again?Thanks

Thanks for reaching out to the Day One forums!
You’re using the ‘On This Day’ widget to display those past events on your iPhone, correct?
Can you double check if you have the option set to ‘conceal content’ for these specific journals? You’ll find the option in your Settings > Journals > Select journal in question > Advanced.
If the content is set to display, do you have images added to those entries?
If the conceal option isn’t enabled and you have images in the entries that do display, then I’d suggest removing the widget and adding it again.

I have the same problem. It stopped working after the last update, both on iPhone and on iPad. I have removed the widget but, when trying to re-add it, it no longer appears on the list of available widgets.

Can I have you try removing and re-adding the widgets to your home screen @jerrydunc and @5vxz5c9v9r?
After removing and re-adding them are they updated to show the content you’re expecting?

Removing and re-adding does not work for me. I’ve tried all the “on this day” widgets and they all do the same thing. They work in the preview, but then they’re the blue placeholders on the home screen. Occasionally, the widget will work, but most of the time it’s blue.

I am having a similar issue. I installed Day One today and don’t see any Day One widgets at all. I tried reinstalling Day One and that did not help.

@mgrs5jyncy Can you let me know the version of Day One you’re using and the type of device and it’s OS version? I’ll be able to check in on this further for you.

This week I just upgraded to an iPhone 17 on iOS 26.2, and I can’t see any DayOne widgets when I try to add them to a page. I just tried removing and reinstalling Day One and I still don’t see any widgets.
