Wider Page Width on Desktop App for Mac

Would it be possible to allow the end user to customize the page/pixel width on the desktop app for Mac? Currently it’s quite narrow for those of us using larger screens.

To clarify, I’m looking for longer line width on the desktop app. You can make the window as wide as you like, but the line width stays the same. It would be nicer if the line width adjusted to coincide with window width.

This is not something that is supported in the current version of Day One on Mac. I’d be happy to submit a feature request on your behalf. 😊

The reason it doesn’t expand to fill the available space on wide screens is that the human eye has trouble tracking to the start of the next line correctly when the line is really long — it generally makes for a worse reading experience.
Having said that, we realise that some people may prefer longer lines, and we have an existing internal feature request open to add a setting for this, so I’ve added your feedback there for consideration. Thanks!
