Why do Android users pay the same for less?

I’ve been a Day One premium member for quite a while. The latest iOS widget update had me questioning the cost for Android users. When iOS has widgets before Android, well, that’s just not right. :D

I understand that they build for iOS, then port to Android. But why then am I paying the same amount for premium, but getting less features/less updates?

Other than that, Day One is best thing ever! :)

  • Thanks for asking!

Our team is actively striving to achieve feature parity between all platforms as quickly as they can. We’re putting in our best efforts to ensure that our Android version matches the features of iOS as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your patience while we enhance the Android experience to match our other applications.

    Thank you kindly, Fred!

I’m happy to keep supporting, and I’ll be upgrading to the $99 plan when funds allow!

I appreciate that you’re striving for parity as well. I won’t keep asking, but my original question is the same still: if they aren’t being given equal features, why would the cost be the same until they are?
