Web access and Maps
-
Hoping someone can help with a couple if queries.
I think I’ve found the right online Journal for mein Day One, best I’ve come across so far. But I have two queries, most of my journalling is done on my laptop and not my phone so my first query is, is the web access on the internet going to continue after Beta and be supported in the future or will all future releases be more for the phone market?
And secondly, I walk a lot and log my walks in Apps like OS Maps, maybe Strava etx. Is there a way of uploading a map GPX file and adding it to my h=journal so it can be displayed as a route. It’s just for reference for me to see where I;ve gone. I could convert to PDF then jpeg and upload that but thought I could upload the GPX and have that displayed.
Thank you in advance for any replies

Hi Martin! Happy to help out with these questions.

It’s absolutely going to continue! We’re proud of the work we’ve done on the web app and plan to continue to support and improve it moving forward.

We don’t have a way to import a full map into the app but we do offer integrations with Apple to show your Health Activity in entries’ metadata: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/entry-info-metadata-in-day-one-for-ios/
You can also enable locations to see where you’ve been and create entries from there in the app: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/location-history/
Finally, we do offer an integration with If This Then That which you can use to set up integrations with other apps if you’d like https://dayoneapp.com/guides/tips-and-tutorials/using-ifttt-with-day-one/
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
