Weather feature inconsistent

Hi DayOne community:
I am noticing that when getting DayOne to update the weather information after changing a post’s date and/or location is inconsistent. Sometimes the app immediately displays updated weather information. Other times, the original weather information remains even if I’ve changed the date and/or location. I’ve tried removing location altogether and reinserting it, with no success.
Can anybody help?

We have just started rolling out version 2023.11 on the Mac App Store today. It has a fix for weather when changing dates. When it is available to you, please update and let us know if the issue persists. Thanks!

Hi, this issue has persisted. It never was able to fetch weather updates for past entries.

Have you confirmed that you are on the latest release, 2023.16? If so, would you mind contacting support at https://dayoneapp.com/guides/contact-support/contact-day-one-support/ and sending diagnostic files from the app so we can better help you resolve your issue? Here are instructions for sending diagnostic files.
It would also help if you could send a screen recording of the issue you are experiencing.

I have the same issue, but seems to only be a problem when looking back more than a few years (10 years for example). Previously I didn’t have that as a problem.

Today I tried looking up entries for this day last year. We have an event on and I wanted to view the weather forecast for Dec 1st, 2023. But none of the entries have it.
There also appears to be no setting as to where the weather info is sourced. I’m using the current release of Day One on my iPhone and Mac Mini. Neither iteration of the app has any historical weather data.
Is this no longer a feature? And if so, why was my historical weather data deleted?

@marts57 Is it just specific to that Dec 1st, 2023 date? Or does this happen on other older entries as well?
If you change the location to somewhere else (just for testing purpose), do you manage to fetch the weather for that new location?
I’m using the current release of Day One on my iPhone and Mac Mini.
To confirm, are you not able to fetch the weather on both the Day One iOS and Mac app? Or is it just one of them that you’re having a problem with? Can you also please confirm the version you have on each device? Here’s how to locate it:
