Unable to paste horizontal line from Day One into new post

Since I’ve updated to v 2024.17 (1588) on the mac desktop app, I’ve been unable to copy from one post that has a horizontal line into a new post.
From testing, if I create any horizontal line (with —), and then copy, the whole thing won’t paste, but if I delete the horizontal line, it will past. Worked with the previous version.

Thanks for reaching out about the trouble with Copy/Paste on our app! Our team is aware of the issue, and it will be fixed in our update to 2024.18. In the meantime, it may help you to use our feature to copy and paste whole entries. Here’s how to do this:
Copy the whole entry:- Slide your finger from right to left on the entry in the “list” view
- Tap “More”
- Tap “Copy to”
- Select the desired Journal to make a copy of the entry to
You should also be able to copy plain text that is using the default formatting without issue. The issue is specific to special characters and images.
