Unable to open

Its now been a day or two, since I haven’t been able to access the app. It has loading animation as if it was in the middle of an update, but nothing is actually happening. I cannot pause or resume it, and appstore is saying it is on the latest version. There is no option to delete the app either (neither would I want to, I don’t want to lose my entries), I don’t know what to do. I have the latest version of ios and everything else on my phone is working well.
