Trouble accessing and syncing Premium account
-
I’ve been using Day One for years on my iPhone and I recently upgraded (and paid) for a Premium account so I can make entries on my Macbook. I downloaded the Day One app on my Mac and it asked me to log into my Apple account to sync. I figured I should do that because the app on my phone says Sign in to Apple is Linked. So I entered my Apple ID on my Mac and the app shakes it off. I have double, triple and quadruple-checked my Apply ID password and I am entering it correctly. I also noted that my Day One User ID number on my phone is different than the one on my Mac. I am thoroughly confused. I tried emailing support as a Premium member and all I got was a robotic response telling me to go to the help forums. So here I am. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there! We’d love to help.
It sounds like there are two different accounts.
So I entered my Apple ID on my Mac and the app shakes it off.
When using Sign in with Apple on Mac, Apple will prompt you to enter a password. The password needed is the one to unlock your Mac, not your Apple ID password. I bet there is a chance this is why the password was not accepted originally.
May we have you try signing in on Mac again using Sign in with Apple and then enter the password for your Mac computer?
