There is a deviation in the positioning of the Chinese region

I use a translator because my English is not good. In China, Apple Maps uses Amap (GCJ-02), and when using coordinate positioning, it is necessary to convert the coordinates to Mars constellation
Mark, otherwise there will be deviation. I am a Chinese user, and many Chinese users, including myself, have reported this issue. If Dayone can solve this problem, then it will be a more perfect software for us.🥺❤️Love comes from China

I had the same problem. I emailed the support team in March of a few years ago, but it seems that today’s latest apps are also biased. I really like the app, but it’s really frustrating to have to change the location every time you add a photo.

  • @ruhuang2001 We understand your frustration. Thanks for bringing it up. We’ll make sure to note this.

This issue has bothered me for a few moths, every time after I wrote something, I have to manually select the position where I am

  • Thanks everyone for continuing to share your experiences with this issue — we really appreciate your patience and feedback.

We’re aware of the location offset that affects users in mainland China due to the coordinate system used by Apple Maps.

While we don’t have a specific timeline to share yet, we have added your reports to the feature request.
