Text entry has become too slow at times on Day One using iPad
-
I have been using Day One on my iPhone XR and iPad (2018), and at times when I enter test via the internal keyboard or external bluetooth keyboard, text entry has become VERY slow and delayed, so you cannot see what you are typing or backspacing. (and have to wait for the text to show up). This does not happen in any other app on my iPad. I realize that my iPad is a few years old, but was hoping to get a couple more years out of it. Is there something I can do to speed it up. I am using latest iOS and latest version of Day One. I have tried things such as turning off keyboard prediction, etc, but it does not really change things. Force closing and restarting app does not really help. Rebooting the iPad does not really help.

That should say….when I enter TEXT (not “test”). (I tried to edit my entry, but for some reason it would not let me).

I do note that it varies in degree from almost normal to almost unusable. I have not, as of yet, noticed a pattern. I have noticed that my Day One app is really the only common denominator that I have found with the problem.

Thank you for the further information. Could I just confirm what version of Day One you’re currently using?

For some reason I keep getting an error trying to post my version number. It is Version 2023.24.
