Sync for free version users?

I just download the app and right now I have the free version. Whenever I enter a journal entry, it says that it has successfully synced to the cloud. I thought this was a feature for only premium users. But are my entries indeed stored somewhere safe, even on a free version? So, if my device were to get lost, or stolen, I could redownload the app and my entries would still be there?

Your content syncs as a back up to our servers for your protection. Syncing your data between multiple devices is a Premium feature.
