Sync between Mac App seems not working properly

I have been encountering this issue for a long time. Here is how to reproduce the issue.
- Make some change on existing journal item on one Mac app
- Open another Mac app, and open the same item, no changes from step 1 shows on this Mac app
- when checking version history, changes did got recorded at a previous timestamp, but got overwritten by step 2
My hunch about this is if DayOne could differentiate between two separate Mac apps. Please let me know you are aware of the same issue.
