Suggestion for Improved Scroll Functionality
-
Hello,
Currently, when typing in the journal, I find it bothersome that I’m unable to scroll down to create more space. This means that as I type more content, I’m continually looking at the bottom of the screen instead of being able to focus on the center or top of the screen where my text is.
I believe implementing a scrolling feature similar to Apple Notes would greatly enhance the user experience. This would allow users to adjust the view and focus more towards the center or top of the screen as we type extensively. It would save us from the workaround of adding random spaces at the bottom by pressing the enter key for that freedom.
Thank you so much!

Hi there! On which device are you using Day One? What is the OS version? Do you use a keyboard other than the system keyboard?

Hello! Yes, I use an iPad Pro 3rd gen with a Bluetooth keyboard on OS 17.3.1. I understand on phones, the text is top of the keyboard always, but I mostly use it on my iPad so that I could type faster. I end up just looking at the bottom of the screen which makes me uncomfortable. Thank you!

Thanks for the additional details. I have submitted your feedback to our team for consideration!

Is there really no solution for this? You are just working at the bottom of the screen when you get there? This seems so basic of a serious problem. Very uncomfortable view and not good for the neck.

@toadspotter Unfortunately, there isn’t a feature for this yet. The screen only scrolls up when you reach the bottom of the screen. I’ve added your feedback to our open feature request on this.
