Some additional hotkeys for desktop editors

    Hey,
I am used to IDE for programming and currently using the Dayone Windows app (my suggestion applies to others as well). Those are some that I noticed. Hope you can hemp to improve the experience for power users a bit :) Thanks!

I am missing pressing [ESC] when I am in some menu, like tags or settings to close those popups. Grabbing the mouse first is slowing down and distracting from the actual work.

Also being able to switch lines/paragraphs would help a lot, e.g. with [ALT + SHIFT + ARROW UP] or arrow down. That would move the selected line above the previous line.

When an entry is selected in the timeline view, pressing [ENTER] should bring the cursor in the editor, ready to continue typing.

When deleing an entry, in the popup is the “Delete” button highlighted, but enter does not confirm the action.

With [CTRL + Z] a freshly created entry which is still empty cannot be deleted.

  • Hi @zian92,

Thanks for that feedback! I will share it with our Windows/Web developers for consideration in a future update.
