Smart dashes

  The website says that smart dashes (i.e. turning this — into —) can be done in the Editor pane of the Preferences on Mac. BUT no such pane exists. I’m on Version 2024.1.1 (1555) on MacOS 14.4.1

  I did find a window under Edit/Substitutions – but this seems to operate only for the current journal. If I change journal, and then come back the setting seems to be lost.

  Please advise how I can set it once and for all.

  Ah – this website has applied the smart dash – so my post looks silly. Please ignore that bit

  Please note that smart dashes is not a feature that we currently offer, but I have forwarded your feedback as a feature request to the team for consideration. While I am not able to provide detailed information on the point of time of any new release, please be on the lookout for future releases and announcements.

  That said, would you share the URL of the website where you saw the instructions about smart dashes? Was it on our Day One documentations? Or was it our chat bot? We’d like to correct any wrong information that may be on our site.
