Slash commands with Android

Do Slash Commands work with Android devices? I’m experimenting with Day One on my Android device and I can’t seem to get Slash Commands to work. The Day One AI Assistant told me it does work on Android, then told me it doesn’t so I’m mildly confused. Android devices aren’t explicity mentioned in the article Slash Commands for Day One.
