Sign in and sync issue

    I installed the DayOne app and signed up to DayOne Premium via the free trial. I remember when I first opened the app it asked me to sign in with my Apple account and I did so. However when I go to settings it’s says “Sign in” and I cannot sync as I’m not signed in. When I click sign in and sign in with my Apple ID, an error message pops up saying Cannot Sign In – No iCloud account is configured. And everytime when I start the app it asks me to signin again and gives the same error message when I try to do so.

    Hi @pulluptherootsblog! May we have you try restarting your device and then signing in again?

    Are you able to sign in to https://dayone.me/login with the option to Continue with Apple?

    I have been a loyal user of Day One since its launch, approximately fourteen years ago. Throughout this time, I’ve consistently accessed my account via both iOS and Mac platforms. Recently, I transitioned to using an Android device and intend to use DO web app on my Windows PC and the Android app on my new phone.

    Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a significant issue. Upon logging in—whether through my Google or Apple ID—I’m unable to locate any of my historical entries. This data is incredibly important to me, and I’m eager to continue my DO journey without losing years of accumulated information.

    Could you please provide guidance on how to recover my past entries and ensure seamless access to my original account?

    Thanks for your support these many years!

    Do you still have an Apple device? If so, please check the user ID on those devices and compare with what you see on Android: https://dayoneapp.com/guides/settings/day-one-user-id

    If the user IDs do not match, please try signing in to https://dayone.me/login with a different login method. Do you see your entries?
