Request for main photo layout
-
Although I have 5 photos added the first photo is not the main photo in fact, its the second photo. I know this because when I look at my journal in calendar view it shows the 2nd photo and not the first. I have switch other photos in it’s place and they all show up as the main photo even though they are the second photo. My request would be to let us set up what the main photo is going to be unless I am just doing something wrong. Thank you.

Hello! On what type of device are you using Day One? You can choose which photo appears on the Calendar view by tapping the heart button in the photo viewer in the entry
- iOS: open an entry > tap the desired photo (to view full screen) > tap the heart button to favorite.
- Mac: right-click (or Control+click) the photo in the entry you wish to favorite > click Favorite in the contextual menu
- Android: does not support this feature just yet.
Let us know if that helps or if we can assist you further.

Good day. So I right clicked the photo on my mac, made a photo a favorite but it did not show up as the first photo in the set of 5. It stayed in the position that it was in. I did this on my mac. Maybe i’m not understanding how it works and maybe i’m not explaining it so my apologies on this being simplistic. I want the last photo that I have to be the first photo as the default first photo that shows up in an entry. Shy of moving to move it to the front which is fine if that it was I have to do. I will just have to remember to move it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for clarifying! Setting a photo as a favorite will show that image in the Calendar view. That is what I originally thought you meant.
You can click and drag images to any order within an entry. It sounds like that may be what you are wanting to do. Let us know.
