Subject: Request for Day One Classic Compatibility Update for iOS 18+
Dear Day One Team, Hello!
I am a long-time user of Day One Classic and have relied on it for journaling for many years. I truly love its simplicity and purity.
However, after updating to iOS 18 (and now iOS 26), the app no longer opens, showing the message: “The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of iOS.”
I understand the team’s focus has shifted to the new Day One app, but Classic still holds special meaning for many longtime users with years of data. Even a minimal compatibility update—just to make it launchable on the current iOS—would mean a lot to us, without forcing an immediate full migration.
Thank you so much for your hard work over the years. I hope you can consider this request.

Hi there,
Day One Classic has not been updated since March 2016, and now that Day One 2.0 is a free app with similar features, we will not be updating Classic again.
