Hi, I didn’t want to take the yearly plan after trial, according to your help center if there was a date showing in the app, that was going to be the expiration date. It still charged neither within the app nor in Apple Store subscriptions, there isn’t an option to disable it. Please help me with reimbursing the charge.

I’m having the exact same issue, and the bot response sent me here instead of giving me the service of priority care that i apparently was charged for. Please help me with a refund.

Hi @cynthiajeub. If the automated response was not helpful, you can reply to it and a Happiness Engineer will be with you as soon as possible. Please do that with the email associated with your Premium Day One account and you will receive priority support.
If the subscription was purchased via the App Store, it is possible to request a refund from Apple. Please go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ to initiate that process.

Hi there,
I am writing to follow up on my refund request. I have previously sent an email requesting a refund and also submitted a support request through the app, but I have not received any response yet. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.
Here is my account information:

– Receipt number: 2046-3607I would like to add that I was aware of the date to cancel the trial, but I was unable to find where to cancel within the app. This has been very disappointing and frustrating.
Please address this issue and process my refund request as soon as possible.

I have the same problem. I haven’t used the program day One for about a year. I tried to cancel via app store but it told me you have no pourchases so you cqn’t cancel or request a refund. Yesterday Apple debited me another 37 euro still saying I have not purchasesed anything so I can’t request I refund. What should I do?

After taking a look at your account, it does appear the subscription is through Apple.
I would suggest checking your subscription manager first to verify the subscription.
App Store > Profile > Subscriptions > Day One
If you see a Day One sub there, you should be able to cancel or prevent the auto-renewal from happening.
If there is not a sub showing there, I would recommend reaching out to Apple directly.
It is also possible to request a refund from Apple. They have not given developers a way to refund purchases from the App Store on our end yet.
Please go to http://reportaproblem.apple.com/ to initiate that process. Or you may need to call 1-800-MY-APPLE. Refunds are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.

So you’re telling me that you are going to take my 37 euro and that’s that. I repeat I tried to report a problem to Apple but they tell me I have to contact you as I haven’t bought anything from them so I can’t ask for a refund. But you know I have as you have the money. This is all a big business scam and I’m not going to accept it.

@resera65 I don’t think that’s what was mentioned. Maybe I wasn’t as clear as I could have been.
You purchased your subscription through Apple’s App Store. When making this purchase, you pay Apple first, since this purchase was done through their store.
Apple has not given developers a way to refund purchases made through their store. So we have no way to issue a refund unfortunately if the subscription was purchased through the App Store as it is managed by Apple.
If you have tried to contact them using the weblink listed above, I would suggest calling them using the number provided in the previous response. We have had several users contact Apple for a refund using the two methods listed above and have been given refunds for their purchases.
I wish we had a way to issue this refund for you, but again, Apple has not given us the tools to do so.

I’m from brazil and i had your free try and wasnt alerted on the end of the free try and start of the annual subscription, due to currency and my financial situation i cannot afford the subscription, is there a way to request a refund? i just got the email with the invoice and cancelled my subscription but it was the annual one. i sent the app an email to: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
