Real time sharing, DayOne after Life, Integrat with DNA sites, Face and Voice AI
-
Vision: I see DayOne presenting its customers, not one, but several plans and possibly new options.
Plan 1:
Same as your current plan.
Plan 2:
Same as your plan 1, except your customers can share their Journals, part time or full time, with their kids and/or friends in real time by giving them “Read Only” access. For example, with this plan I could give my kids or friends access to my journal as I am on a month long vacation or whenever I want to. This would give me the ability to share my experiences in real time. This would also showcase DayOne’s benefits to potential new customers.
Plan 3:
The only change from Plans 1 or 2 is you would be giving your customer the option to capture their Journal for eternity or as long as DayOne is in business. Obviously your customers won’t live forever but if they have kids, grandkids, great grandkids, great-great grandkids, great-great-great grandkids etc, most likely the majority of those kids/adults will eventually be interested in exploring what life was like when their ancestor was alive and to get some sense into their personality. Can you imagine being able to read what your ancestor’s life was like 50, 100, 200, etc years ago?
Options to Plan 3:
Option A:
Direct descendants may not be the only ones who might be interested in your customer’s journal. Now is the time to bring in AncestryDNA, 23 and Me, Family TreeDNA, and a number of other DNA companies. Create a business relationship with them. Those companies could augment their databases to include links to DayOne. As an example, when a person is researching their family roots they may see, not only the data that these companies provide, but also a link that they could click on to gain access to their relative’s DayOne Journal in Read Only format. Again, can you imagine being able to read what life was like for your relative 100, 200, etc years ago? Obviously the DayOne customer can opt in or out of this feature.
Option B:
Incorporate AI into DayOne to capture your customer’s face and voice. As an example, with that capability, my descendants could get an ever better sense of what I was like as I read to them my DayOne entries. They could then look at/watch the embedded pictures and/or videos I was talking about.
Option C:
If DayOne plans to charge descendants for access to their ancestor’s Journal, the ancestor/owner of the journal may wish to pay a fee up front so that their descendants would not have to pay the fee. Can you imagine how much money that could bring in and the interest DayOne would make on that money?
