PWA for Web version

  Hello! I use Day One in linux by Web version. I think it should be Progressive web application (PWA) to install web app in linux and more that doesn’t have native application.

  Thanks for pointing this out @wannaphong. It’s not difficult to convert a SPA into a PWA.

  The benefits:
  – allowing non-Apple people the benefit of a less distracted experience
  – no need to write a desktop app for Linux
  – greater potential for Day One to reduce App Store royalty payments

  Maybe it will be difficult to make the business case for it since Day One seems so married to Apple at this point in time. But consider what a mature development target the browser has become (WebGPU for example). I’d like to think that Day One is capable of outgrowing Apple.
