Privacy issue: The iOS app keeps journal data after you uninstall it
-
I don’t know how or where, but the journal data is stored in the mobile even after logging out and uninstalling the app. When I re-install the app, the journal data is there! Even before I logged in or synced the app.
I already checked iCloud to remove any data sync related to Day One. I guess that the app uses some kind of cache that remains even after deleting the app.
How can I reset the app to a brand-new state?
Btw: I need to reset the app because a journal isn’t syncing properly, and I don’t know how to reset the sync state of that journal to download all the changes.

I would also like to know how to completely erase data from Day One, on devices and on server(s). Every user should have clarity as to how to do this.

Hey all!
@balamaqab It sounds like you may be experiencing a bug. Deleting the app should be deleting the locally stored data as well. Are you using Day One on iPad? Are you able send us an email in the app settings > Support > Contact support?
@philip142857. Deleting the app should be deleting local data. To delete data on our servers, you can do so by signing in to your account at https://dayone.me/settings. https://dayoneapp.com/guides/day-one-sync/how-can-i-delete-my-journal-data-on-your-server/
