Please change the entry preview layout to how it was before!

I can’t be the only one who finds this new layout disappointing. The original way was just so much better.
The new layout’s font is way too big. Every entry feels like this big, bulky hunk of mass and the original, small entries were much more digestable. Everythings so big now that it all seems sort of cluttered.Plus, I really dislike how tags are no longer highlighted/colored. It’s so much harder now to see if an entry is tagged or not because the tag name just blends in with all the other information. Before, the color caught my eye and made it much easier to tell which of my entries had tags.
I just don’t understand why everything has to be so big. I don’t even get why the layout had to be changed in the first place. Personally, I had no major problems with it. I get wanting to change some things up every once in a while but this just feels too big of a downgrade.
Please revert it back to the original!!

Thank you for providing such in-depth feedback.
We have recently made some changes to the design of Day One, making it larger and easier to read. This change has received a lot of feedback, and we’re planning to make further adjustments in our upcoming releases based on this feedback.
Your input has been passed on to our team for consideration as we work on these improvements.
We’re always open to more suggestions and feedback, so feel free to share.

Totally agree
the new layout hides important notes. Not sure how this is supposed to be better

We have some good news for you! We just released an update to the app that addresses the feedback we’ve been getting about the updated Timeline designs. Please watch for the 2023.16 update in the App Store and install it as soon as you see it become available.

Hi Frank, I have installed the latest version, and the improvement is not enough. There’s still a lot of wasted space, and the lines for the title, labels, and journal name don’t leave room for much else.

I feel this so much. I used to look at the app multiple times a day just to scan the previews. Now its so ugly and hard to read at a glance, I use the app less.

I would literally pay money right now just to have the app preview screen back the way it was. this has been my favourite app for years now, and Boom, soon as I downloaded the latest version, pure trash and major loss of user enjoyment and simple readability.
New enlarged font size suitable for geriatric slow learners. Who thought this was a good idea????!!!

@wesleyrichards16 our team is following the industry’s recommendations for font size on iOS as we make adjustments to the app. We’ve shared your feedback about these changes with them and let them know you preferred the smaller text size on the entry list. We have made adjustments and will continue to do so based on feedback like this
