Photo and Journaling fitting on one page in book.

Hi! I just ordered my first journal, and I love it. The problem is that some pictures take up the whole page and some don’t. Ideally I’d like my writing and picture to fit on one page each day. I just took a sample of the January days I’ve already created and the book it will print is very odd. Several pages have just a little bit of writing and no pictures or anything else. Please tell me there is a fix for this!

  • Hello @cheighton,

The books are created using a PDF algorithm. There is not a way to resize or manually format books at this time.

I’d be happy to submit a feature request on your behalf for future consideration.

Please do add a request for this feature. I am trying to make my first printed journal of a trip my wife and I took, and choosing which photo is large, or in what order, or which takes up a whole page or not is confusing and frustrating. thanks!

I tried to print mines, but having 1000+ pages per book, with full page pictures etc., I totally forgot about the idea of printing from Day One.

This is too bad as printing is the final step in journaling. A basic page editor would be fine. My best try is to export journal as PDF then open it in Acrobat Pro to change the layout, which takes hours.

  • Hello @billmoriarty and @jcdichant,

Thank you both for your feedback. I have passed your feature request along to our team.

hi! I requested this a year ago. Any progress? I’m trying to print and some pictures are HUGE and push my one line of comments to the next page. And that’s all that’s on the page. It’s a waste of space and looks awful. There has to be an easy way to have one journal entry per page and size the photo accordingly. Is there not a ‘fit to size’ option?

It seems that any improvement for book printing is in std-by.
I have cancelled my project of printing all my journal.
No update from Day One is not a good sign.

  • Hi there, @cheighton, and @jcdichant! Thanks for your feedback regarding image sizes in the printed books feature. I agree that being able to resizes images would be incredibly helpful to improve the appearance of journal entries in printed form. However, it’s not possible to do that from the app at this time.

I did add your comments to our existing feature request for more formatting customization options so our development team can consider these for future updates.
