Perceptible typing lag on iPhone

I know this topic has been raised before, but there still continues to be a lag on the typing experience for the iPhone. It’s not as bad as some other users have reported, but it’s bad enough where you can notice the jerkiness in the typing experience. It’s unpleasant and really putting me off of using the iOS app. I tried the apple journal app to see if it was a keyboard issue, but that app’s typing experience is really smooth. I’m not sure what you guys have found, whether it’s too many entries, too much media loading or what, but it’s still not fixed. I have this lag on all entries (including media and non media).

device: iPhone 15 pro max
iOS version: 18.0
day one app version: 2024.19 (this is the latest update version I have available to me)
