PDF map
-
Hi,
Is there a way I can generate a map like one from the PDF files, with the world and locations we have visited?
I know of course that I can get it by generating a PDF with all my entries, the problem here is that I have 12k entries so the resulting PDF might end up being quite unwieldy. Is there by any chance a way for me to get just the map?
Thank you.

@zq6t9fg9gb Which of our apps are you using? Android, Mac, iOS, or web?
On iOS, for example, from the Journals tab, you can click on Map—which would be on the same row as List, Calendar, and Media towards the top of the screen. While there is no direct way of exporting that view, you can take a screenshot.

Hi,
I’m using the iOS app (I’m not using the web/Windows apps because they have a bug that messes up the spacing between paragraphs, no way am I touching them until that gets fixed).
I know what you mean about the screenshot, however the map that shows up in the PDFs is bigger and more detailed, that’s why I would have liked a way to generate it separately if possible.
But if it doesn’t already exist I don’t suppose it will be added now :S

Hi there, @zq6t9fg9gb! Thanks for your feedback about exporting the location data in a map format. I’ve added your vote to a feature request about expanding PDF export options. An export for a more detailed map is not in planned. However, something else you can test out, which may or may not work for you, is exporting a PDF with only maps.
Select “All Entries” > Tap the three-dot menu at the top right > Tap on “Export”. in the Import/Export section scroll down to PDF > PDF Settings. In PDF settings toggle off all of the options from Embeds, Metadata, and Other, except for Maps. Go back to Import/Export, then tap “Export PDF”. This should give you a PDF with a variety of maps from your entry locations.
