Paste table as Markdown

I have a Shortcut that’s generating a daily weather forecast table in markdown that I’d like to insert into journal entries. When I run the shortcut, it inputs raw Markdown text. If I select that text and choose “Copy as Markdown” and then paste it, it puts in a nicely formatted table. Is there a way to insert (paste) text as Markdown and have it rendered in the entry automatically?

If you are adding valid markdown into an entry it should be getting rendered as markdown. Can you let me know more about exactly how you are creating and adding this content (are you using apple shortcuts? Does the shortcut create the entry or append an entry? or does the shortcut copy the content to your clipboard and then you paste it into an entry, etc)? We can take a look and see what is going on.
