November 2024 – Foursquare’s Swarm Check-In History – Importing It Into Day One
-
I am new to Day One. I would like to start by creating a shared journal that includes check-ins from mya portion of my Swarm history.
Some restrictions on the Swarm check-ins I want to select:
– Check-Ins Between 3pm and 9pm only
– Check-Ins That Fall Between a Range of Dates
I did find this from a Google search on the topic:
https://samgrover.com/2019/04/16/importing-foursquareswarm-history.htmlPlease advise if I may clarify any of the above.

@kurtwerstein We don’t officially support or have features to import from Foursquare/Swarm.
You can check the guide for importing to Day One here, if you haven’t done so:

It looks like the author of that article use a custom script. You may want to reach out to them if you have any questions about it. Otherwise, you may want to run some trial imports in order to check if their script still works.
Here’s also another guide on Day One Tools, in case it’s helpful:

@staff-fred – Thank you for giving me some options as a jumping off point to get what I hope to accomplish with my Foursquare Swarm check-ins.
With the above in mind, since I am eager to get to recording some information in Day One, but may not have the ability to import the information I want at this moment in time, is there a way to perhaps come back to journal entries and maybe add or merge in information? -
@kurtwerstein Yes, definitely! You can go back to old entries to edit them. You can even create new entries and add an earlier date to them:
Change the date & time of an entry
You can also merge entries according to the following:
