No Timestamp When Viewing An Entry
-
I’m on iOS, latest version of DayOne, and I am quite baffled that there is no entry timestamp when viewing an entry.
Day and date at the top, and Location, Weather, and Journal at the bottom. But no entry time.
Why is this? Why can’t I see the time the entry was made while reading one?
This is such a weird omittance. Please developer, patch this feature in…

Hello @hizhatt,
Thanks for reaching out. You can see the time the entry was created in the metadata of the entry.
Entry Info/Metadata in Day One for iOS
You can also see the time the entry was created on the main timeline view.
Hope that helps.

Hi. Thanks for the reply, but I genuinely think they should include entry time when viewing an entry because you can swipe left and right to go through entries.
I don’t get why the Android app have the entry time on display while viewing an entry while the iOS app don’t have it.
Please consider prioritizing adding this feature. Make the iOS app to also show entry time while viewing an entry like the Android app does.

Hello Cara, when viewing an entry in the iOS app, there’s no entry time. And it is not all-day entry.
Since I can’t post photos here (it said user not allowed), I’ve uploaded the screenshots from my DayOne iOS app and the DayOne Android app to Imgur (https://imgur.com/a/FiT3fj7).
Please please please add this to the iOS app just like in the Android app. I’m reading through my entries by swiping to the right, and it is really annoying that there’s no entry time on display.
I also think this is a pretty rudimentary feature to have.

Thanks for the screenshots @hizhatt. I see what you mean. The time isn’t shown when writing an entry, and this is expected. As @staff-reid mentioned the timestamp is viewable in main timeline view and the metadata of the entry. It is not expected that it would be visible when writing your entry.
If you have trouble modifying the time in the metadata or can’t see it in the main timeline view and the metadata of the entry, please, let us know.
